Matt Jackson is a Level 5 High Performance Coach with 27 years of coaching experience. He has coached multiple British champions, coached at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and is the owner of Jacksons Gymnastics Consultancy.

Reiss Beckford — Growth Club
Who are we?
Reiss Beckford is a visionary, strategist and people builder best known as the Founder of Growth Club, a mentorship and coaching platform built for athletes, both still competing and retired.
Through 23 years competing internationally, including European Championships, the Commonwealth Games and World Championships level, first with British Gymnastics and later representing Jamaica, Reiss has built a rare depth of first-hand experience inside elite gymnastics, from athlete to coach to educator.
In addition to Growth Club, Reiss works as a qualified strength and performance coach, sharing leadership, marketing, business and personal development insight through his own platform, built on over 14 years of experience in the space.
Above all, Reiss is a family man, a husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. That same care shows up in how he mentors — he's focused on helping athletes become successful in their own way, by being themselves, rather than pushing everyone toward one version of what success should look like.

Elevate Volunteering
Who are we?
My name is Gemma Wright and I am the founder of Elevate Volunteering. I have been a gymnastics coach since 2008, from volunteering to a full time career. I have been lucky enough to have a career in the sport I am so passionate about, working in a number of clubs in the East Region where I have been Recreational Manager, Competitive Coach, Events Coordinator, National Judge and Volunteer Leader. With Elevate I am looking forward to showing my love for the sport and sharing my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of coaches.
What we will do
Elevate Volunteering will work with your club to provide introductory courses to ensure a positive start to your coaching career, including:
- Introduction to Health and Safety / Wellbeing — one of the most important aspects of coaching: how to deal with situations, who to go to when in need, and how to create safe set-ups in the settings your club provides.
- Introduction to Recreational Gymnastics — preparations and safe set-ups for all skills required for progressive gymnastics, using set-ups that have been used in a number of clubs and are easy to transfer.
- Introduction to Judging — the flip side to coaching: the basics of officiating a gymnastics competition, the roles a judge plays, and an introduction to the judging process.
After the courses, Young Leaders are allocated a mentor from the Senior Leadership Team and attend a minimum of 2 hours each week working hands-on in a class, usually with their mentor. Each term they attend a YLVP review meeting to discuss what they have learnt and outline a plan for the next term.
